Sock Hop Auction 2019

Join us on Saturday, March 2, 2019, as we take the Auction back to the Oakhill Day School Gymnasium to shake, rattle, and raise our paddles!

Hundreds of goods and services will be auctioned off to the highest bidder all at our largest fundraising event the year, all to raise money for the students of Oakhill. This event is supported by not just the school, but by the entire North Kansas City community.

The students of Oakhill Day School directly benefit from Auction proceeds as they are used to purchase curriculum enhancing materials/supplies for the classroom, provide the funds for annual teacher professional development, and offsets the expense of providing the awesome student-centered education that parents have come to expect. This event generates approximately 10% of Oakhill annual income!

The ticket registration deadline is Monday, February 18, 2019! Make sure to register so we know how much food to provide for the evening. 

Here is this year's schedule of events!

Check-In: 5:00 pm 
Silent Auction: 5-8 pm
LIVE Auction: 8 pm with the announcements of mobile bidding closing times
The evening closes after LIVE Auction
This year we will have food stations in the gymnasium that will have a vegetarian and gluten-free option. 

We will once again use mobile bidding for our silent auction items! Mobile bidding in an innovative tool that allows guests to bid on silent auction items, straight from their smartphone or tablet. Do not forget to bring your own device!

We are currently accepting donations of goods and services to be auctioned off in both our silent and live auction events! Cash donations are also appreciated to help underwrite the cost of organizing Oakhill's largest fundraiser of the year! All donations, no matter the size, are appreciated.

Your generosity provides the funds to support curriculum, staff, and the regular maintenance necessary to ensure that all 357 Oakhill students receive the very best education.

Tanna Guthrie has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over her years as Auctioneer for Oakhill's annual event. In addition, Tanna has raised funds for many other causes in the greater Kansas City area including the American Heart Association, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Operation Breakthrough.
